We are keen to ensure that all Early Career teachers have the opportunity to develop networks of subject specific enhancement to supplement their work on the Early Career Framework. This training is open to all ECTs regardless of their ECF provider; we aim to be able to provide strong subject specific networks across our region.
The subject specific enhancement sessions for RE will take place as detailed below. The method of delivery will be a combination of face-to-face at Beaumont School and virtual meetings which will be confirmed prior to each session.

Meet the facilitator
Rebecca Bradbury, Curriculum Leader for REP (Religion, Ethics and Philosophy), St Albans Girls’ School
I trained with Teach First in 2012 and began my career in a mixed gender school in Enfield, London. Since then, I have held different positions in schools varying in nature including teaching in Beijing, China. I have worked in a variety of roles including Head of Year, Boarding Housemistress, Co-ordinator of Mental Health and Wellbeing and I have been the Curriculum Leader for REP (Religion, Ethics and Philosophy) at St Albans Girls’ School for 2 years. I have also been an RE GCSE examiner for the majority of my career.
I am passionate about creating an academically rigorous RE curriculum which allows learners to develop their theological, ethical and philosophical literacy as well as exploring their own relationship with the world around them. I believe our subject is on par with other academic subjects such as History and Geography and should therefore be planned for and treated as such.
