| 2 | Register Early Career Teachers (RECT) service.
The DfE has changed how schools register and manage their ECTs and their mentors. Induction Tutors must now use the RECT service. To access this service, you will need to use DfE Sign‑in. If you don’t already have a DfE Sign-In account, you will need to first create an account and request access to your organisation (your school) and then access to RECT. This can take a few days, so please take action as soon as possible. |

Step 3 is a one-off registration for your school.
Our provider for all new ECTs/Mentors/Induction Tutors is the National Institute of Teaching. Please complete step 3 only if you have not yet expressed your interest/registered your school with NIoT.
