Sandringham Computing Hub
About Us
Sandringham Computing Hub is one of 34 computing hubs nationally set up as part of the DfE funded National Centre for Computing Education, we are also the regional co-ordinators for London. The National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) is funded by the Department for Education and supporting partners and marks a significant investment in improving the provision of computing education in England. It is delivered by STEM Learning. We offer high quality evidence-informed CPD, support, a fully resourced evidence-informed curriculum, a programme to encourage more girls to specialise in Computer Science, and bespoke support and funding for schools wishing to start the delivery of GCSE Computer Science. Everything that we offer in fully funded so there is no cost to the school, and may courses come with a subsidy to support time outside of school. The geographical region we cover spans from Central Bedfordshire down to central London as well as Hampshire, with over 2000 schools in our region we work with hundreds of schools and thousands of teachers every year.
Our region can be seen in Red and Pink regions in these two maps:

London Regional Co-ordinator Hub
As part of our role as a high performing NCCE Computing Hub we have also been awarded the status of regional co-ordinator hub for the “London Region”, co-ordinating and supporting the work of four computing hubs to support them in successfully achieving the NCCE mission to improving the provision of computing education in England. This includes co-ordinating the remote CPD offer and creating opportunities for teachers across the 8000+ schools in our combined region such as intensive programmes to up skills teachers to be able to deliver GCSE computer science and organising special events. We also line manage the Subject Matter Experts working across the four hubs who have the mission to work strategically at trust level with groups of schools across our regions and support schools that don’t yet offer GCSE computer science to start delivering this.
