Acorns Early Years Training Centre
Acorns Early Years Training Centre is proud to be a lead partner of Alban Teaching School Hub. Acorns offers expertise specifically for Early Years and works with the teaching school hub and other strategic partners to support professional development for early years settings across Hertfordshire. We offer an annual CPD programme and we are passionate about all schools and settings having access to high quality early years training and support. We also support the teaching school hub in the delivery of the ECT programme and NPQ’s.

Advanced Learning Partnership
The Advanced Learning Partnership comprises a number of excellent secondary schools in the Watford, Barnet, Borehamwood, and Potters Bar areas. Dame Alice Owen’s School in Potters Bar acts as the lead school. We offer Middle and Senior Leadership Programmes for aspiring HoDs and Assistant Head Teachers, respectively, and an upskilling programme for Physics teachers in collaboration with the Institute of Physics. Additionally, we have specialist expertise in MFL. We hold regular forums for Safeguarding leads, Librarians, and SEND teams. Dame Alice Owen’s School is a Lead Partner of the Alban Teaching School Hub and we will collaborate closely on the delivery of the ECF from September 2021, providing facilitators and a venue for training, and we will engage the Alban Hub as our Appropriate Body for ECTs. Some of our partnership schools also intend to work together as a sub-regional group for School Direct recruitment and training, led by Watford Grammar School for Girls.

Alban Education are committed to work with the Lead Partners of the Alban Teaching School Hub to provide CPD opportunities that complement our core five pillars of support; Initial Teacher Training, Early Career Framework, National Professional Qualifications, Appropriate Body Services, CPD.
Chessbrook Education Support Centre
Chessbrook is an Ofsted outstanding Education Support Centre based in Watford. We proudly serve 15 secondary and 70 primary schools in South West Hertfordshire. Our continued success is built on a framework that provides an innovative and exceptional ‘upstreaming tiered approach’ of support to schools, students and their families. We have for many years, supported our schools and the Local Authority with the delivery of high quality CPD, school-to-school support, ITT training and the delivery of behaviour focused training for NQTs. Chessbrook is referenced as a model of best practice in the delivery of special education and alternative provision at a national level.
Ivy Learning Trust
Ivy Learning Trust is delighted to be a lead partner of Alban Teaching School Hub. We hope that our expertise in Primary education can add to the quality of training available through the Teaching School Hub and will support professional development across the region, raising outcomes for pupils and staff. We believe that high quality CPD leads to greater opportunities and is an entitlement for all staff. We are excited to be working with Alban and the other partners to deliver fantastic career development across the region from ITT to NPQs.
North Herts Education Partnership
The North Herts Educational Partnership is a strategic partner of the Albans Hub working in collaboration to deliver CPD, NPQs and support the ECF delivery. Our trained facilitators are specialists within their chosen areas and are looking forward to working with schools locally to provide professional development for teachers at a range of career stages. We will also seek to work with subject hubs and CPD providers to inform our local partners of regional and national initiatives.
The Training Centre by Aspire
The Training Centre by Aspire, previously known as West Herts Teaching School, is proud to be a Lead Partner of Alban Teaching School Hub and excited to be working in collaboration with their other strategic partners across the region.
One of the first designated Primary Teaching School Alliances, we are renowned for providing schools throughout Hertfordshire with high quality support and professional development, as well as the delivery of courses ranging from ITT to NPQs.
We have extensive experience in Primary education and work alongside specialist trained facilitators, delivering in-house and bespoke training opportunities, both face-to-face and via remote platforms. In addition to a variety of programmes which cover a range of career stages, The Training Centre by Aspire also offers statutory courses, including governance, safeguarding and first aid. Our regular forums and workshops provide essential updates and guidance for school leaders on Ofsted requirements and government legislation, with direct access to advice and expertise from highly regarded educators.
We look forward to working alongside Alban TSH on the delivery and facilitation of the ECF, as well as the newly reformed and specialist NPQs.
