Newly Qualified Teachers
Alban TSA works in partnership with Herts for Learning to provide subject specific NQT training for all NQTs across Hertfordshire.
The training comprises a four day training schedule spread throughout the year, with the first session being a two day residential. Our aim is to ensure that all NQTs, including those who completed their training with Alban Federation, receive outstanding training which is relevant and appropriate to their context and which also allows them to share good practice and network with their peers.
NQT courses
Sessions cover generic issues such as assessment for learning, literacy, using new technologies and next stage career development.
Additionally, subject specific training deals with areas such as curriculum developments and changes; teaching at Key Stage 5 and achieving and maintaining outstanding judgements in the classroom. Our sessions are all delivered by experts in their field, many currently teachers as well as subject consultants with enormous experience and knowledge. The sessions make use of excellent resources and we ensure all NQTs leave with a myriad of practical solutions and ideas which they can use immediately in their classrooms.
