This twilight session will now take place on the rescheduled date of Thursday, 3rd February 2022 at St Albans Girls’ School and will have a focus on self reflection, aspects of the role of an Assistant Headteacher, and preparing for interviews at leadership level.

This session is ideal for established middle leaders considering their next steps to leadership position.
What are the objectives or outcomes?
In this twilight participants will:
- Understand the role of and demands of an Assistant Headteacher
- Receive practical, ‘tried and tested’ interview questions
- Discuss applying for leadership positions
Meet the facilitator:
Vicki Blackburn started teaching in 2005 in a mixed comprehensive school in London. She has held the positions of; Deputy Curriculum Leader for PE, Curriculum Leader for PE, Head of Year and held responsibilities for Teaching and Learning as part of a secondment to SLT. During her journey to Senior Leadership Vicki also completed NPQML and NPQSL. Following this, she was successfully appointed as Assistant Headteacher at St Albans Girls’ School in 2017.
