We are keen to ensure that all Early Career teachers have the opportunity to develop networks of subject specific enhancement to supplement their work on the Early Career Framework.  This training is open to all ECTs regardless of their ECF provider; we aim to be able to provide strong subject specific networks across our region.

The subject specific enhancement sessions for ART will take place from 4.00pm to 5.30pm at Sandringham School on the following dates:

• SESSION 1: Tuesday 7th March 2023
• SESSION 2: Tuesday 20th June 2023

Areas of Focus

These sessions will consist of practical based workshop activities linked to an exploration of A02 and AO3 to support delivery of GCSE and A level. Using a range of media and techniques experimentally to bring creativity into the classroom and inspire enthusiasm in learners.

Sara Button, Sandringham School

Sara has over 20 years teaching experience of Art and Design and Textiles in a variety of educational environments. She currently divides her time between teaching at Sandringham School and working in her studio in St Albans. As both a painter and textile artist, Sara has exhibited both nationally and abroad, demonstrating at events including the Knitting and Stitching Show and the Festival of Quilts. www.sarabutton.co.uk
