We are keen to ensure that all Early Career teachers have the opportunity to develop networks of subject specific enhancement to supplement their work on the Early Career Framework. This training is open to all ECTs regardless of their ECF provider; we aim to be able to provide strong subject specific networks across our region.
The subject specific enhancement sessions for PRE will take place at Roundwood Park School as follows:

Session 1: Misconception – the does and don’ts in PRE
- Understanding the challenges in teaching PRE
- How to develop challenge and depth
- Knowing the misconceptions and sensitivities
Session 2: Magpie and Try
- Take away teaching ideas
- Taking risks and being creative
- Technology in PRE how to enhance lessons, learning and marking

Meet the facilitator
Gemma Harvey, Subject Leader for PRE, Roundwood Park School
Gemma is an experienced teacher who has worked as a PRE specialist for 25 years and has experience in different teaching environments and roles. She is currently working at Roundwood Park School where she is Head of PRE and is also part of the teaching and learning team running training and INSET.
