We are keen to ensure that all Early Career teachers have the opportunity to develop networks of subject specific enhancement to supplement their work on the Early Career Framework. This training is open to all ECTs regardless of their ECF provider; we aim to be able to provide strong subject specific networks across our region.
The subject specific enhancement sessions for Media Studies will take place at Sandringham School from 4.00pm to 5.30pm on the following dates:
- Monday, 27th February 2023
- Monday, 5th June 2023
Areas of Focus
These sessions will provide essential subject specific support in Year 1 of your Early Career journey covering topics such as:
- Introduction to the theoretical framework and introducing key concepts .
- How to teach the key theorists and making them accessible to all learners.
- Approaching essay questions and structuring for exam units.

Meet the facilitator
Leanne Redstone, Media Studies – Sandringham School
Leanne has taught Media Studies for 20 years locally and internationally and during this time has taught a variety of specifications. She has been a Director of Learning in the subject for many years but has recently stepped down due to becoming a parent and starting another business outside of school. She has coached and mentored new and experienced teachers within the subject and has led many sessions to improve teaching and learning in classrooms.
